Ladies Get into Golf Article Count: 5
The ladies get into golf programme is designed to allow ladies to learn in a fun, friendly, relaxed and very social environment.
The programme runs for 8 weeks, with 6 weeks group lesson based covering all aspects of the game, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, irons, woods and driver and the final 2 sessions on course sessions, learning how to play the game, along with learning some rules of the game.
The final evening of coaching we will have a Champagne and Strawberries reception for everyone who participated in the programme.
If you have golf clubs you can bring them along, but all equipment will be provided. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear and clothing (No set dress code).
(Please note this programme usually runs April /May time in the lead up to the golf season).
Junior Coaching Article Count: 7
We offer a wide range of Junior classes at Zoe Allen Golf.
These include a fun introduction into golf for the youngest of golfers aged only 3-4 years old. We also provide Junior Coaching classes for golfers who are interested in learning how to play golf while making friends. Also for those who are keen on learning a little bit more about the game including rules and etiquette and are keen to learn to play on the course via the US Kids Golf Player Pathway.
Minion Golf (3-4 years old)
Minion Golf is designed for kids aged 3/4 years old. This programme is great introduction into golf in a fun, friendly environment with techniques used from The Little Golf Train learning programme. Classes include golfing games, activities and fundamental movement skills.
Junior Coaching
Junior Coaching is a great way for kids to both learn and develop. JC classes are for kids aged 5+ years old.
These sessions cover all aspect of the game including fundamental movement skills, long game, driving, iron play, wedge play, pitching, chipping, putting and most importantly all games based style learning, so the kids learn while having fun!
Junior coaching groups are suitable for beginners giving them an introduction to golf and suitable for more experienced players to have a chance to practice and improve.
US Kids Golf Player Pathway
The U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway provides players a clear path to learning the game while having fun.
The U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway consists of 10 Levels. As players advance from level to level, new forms are learned, skills improve and achievement pins are earned.
Completion of Levels 1-5 establish the basic fundamentals to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment and knowledge of the game. Advancing through Levels 6-10 provides the skills to successfully compete in tournament play.
In each level, there are five checkpoints in which achievement pins may be earned, these checkpoints include, putting, around the green, full swing, knowledge and scoring. Once all five checkpoints are attained a Mastered Pin is awarded to the player who then advances to the next level.
LPGA Girls Golf Events
To add a little bit of fun to Girls Golf at Lurgan there will be a series of ‘Girls Golf & Social’ events at Lurgan Golf Club. These events are open to girls from the age of 5+ and run once a month.
Each event will have a particular theme, so please feel free to dress up according to the theme. These nights will also have food and snacks for all of the girls as part of our social night.
Each evening will last around 1 hour 30 minutes with time spent on fun golfing activities and team challenges followed by a social event, fun evening.
This evening is for members of Lurgan as well as visitors/guests so feel free to bring along friends, sisters, cousins, the more the merrier.
